Nevada: We need MORE guns in schools
PoliticsNevada state senator Bob Beers has a hair-brained idea that allowing teachers to carry guns in schools might somehow act as a deterrent to school violence.
I love guns, I have several, so I am not at all anti-gun. But, the idea that putting more guns in school, in the hands of teachers no less, could somehow help the situation is asinine.
There has to be a smarter solution to this problem.

Yea, uhm... the teachers could easily be overpowered and their gun taken away from them. Their not trained to carry a gun like police officers are. If this *somehow* happened, I bet we would see an increase in school shootings. This isn't China, we shouldn't make children fear their teachers.

That is exactly what I envisioned. That senator needs to stop accepting so much gun lobby cash for a second, clear his head a little.
